With Your Own Eyes

January 18, 2010

Virginia rescue mission leaves a mark symbolizing no survivors.

Lycee Carrefours Feuilles like many other schools is destroyed. At least 20 bodies were removed by the Haitian community of that area.

Rescue teams look for survivors, although none were found on the 7th day of Haiti's monstrous earthquake.

We’ve been walking around taking photos and going up into the hills and areas that many journalists don’t care for.  These are where families are living and still living.  I have been to Bel Air, seen Furchar, Rue Docteur Obri, Boulevard a rue Trouman, Rue Pave- all of these areas have been demolished.  The central city is in rubbles of rocks.  The national bank is still standing and L’eglise Fatima is standing, miraculously untouched, while the entire area has been wiped out.   I will let the photos speak for themselves.
